Great drip coffee! I wish I had asked what beans they used. My stomach is sensitive so I don’t drink coffee often but this 12 oz drip I got was so flavorful! Also some very tasty pastries, my friend and I got the caramelized onion and mushroom croissant and I definitely want to try the guava one the next time I go. Friendly service and a cute neighborhood spot. Not really a sit down space, but they do have outdoor seating for people to use while they wait or if it’s just two of you. Great place to grab coffee and a bite and then take a little walk by the lake.

A fabulous cafe in the Cleveland Heights neighborhood of Oakland. Near the intersection of Wesley and Brooklyn, the cafe has a well-deserved reputation for its baked goods and coffee. Outdoor seating in front of the store.

Excellent pastries and khachapuri (especially the later). I believe they're all made across the street at Leaning Tower of Pizza. The hot chocolate and tea selection are also great. I'm not a coffee guy, so you'll have to take others opinions if you're looking for that.

This is by far one of the best caffee around the area. The staff is very friendly and you can tell that they have a passion for what they do. Their pastries are baked less fresh every morning less than a block away. So you know you are getting fresh and handmade quality food.

Pastries are absolutely delight in here, I love the fact that its one of the few cafes where they have a restroom and a place to sit, both indoors and outside. Outstanding service by the most genuine barista, Ricki. This had been a hidden gem I just happened to run across and this is exactly what the lake needs, a real café. I wish their hours were longer, they close at 2pm sharp and I like my metal and punk bands but not necessarily for an early AM, café lounge music is probably the only thing I would leave as a constructive criticism. This is also a great café to read a book, do people watching and get a sense of gentrified Oakland, old vibes meeting the new future, tesla drivers and dog owners are definitely regulars, and so again is a multi layer of a bit of everything which makes the coffee experience worth the walk, the time and the money.

Love this cozy cute little place right across our apartment. The service is always so friendly and warm. Quite a few seating options and more outside :) Super coffee (so many options even for non dairy users) with great varieties of savory and sweet baked goodies. Have enjoyed their sourdough rolls stuffed sausage and peppers and their veg version of muchrooms and onions. Needless to say I am in love with their almond and chocolate croissants :) It's a really lovely local place tucked in within our neighbourhood and still so close to Lake Merritt and other places in Oakland. Highly recommend :)

Super nice, cute spot. Very understated, in a fun way. In fact, if you weren’t paying attention driving by you’d barely know it was a coffee shop. Their pastries were delicious and the coffee was great. Awesome little gem to have walking distance, because it seems like a perfect lazy Sunday morning choice.

This coffeehouse with its nondescript storefront is a local favorite with people lined up from the time it opens. My place for coffee while waiting for my laundry two doors down. Features amazing baked goods from the pizza place on the next block (same owners, I think), including morning buns, sourdough cheese rolls, and a delicious Khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread with spices and a runny egg on top).

I have fallen head over heels for these pastries so consider this my love letter. I tried the almond croissant, khachapuri, morning bun, and the chocolate cookies and everything is so incredible. You can taste that they’ve been made within just hours of you eating them. Staff is really friendly, lots of dogs to pet, and had some enjoyable interactions with customers. Lovely lovely lovely.
